The contours of the new Maybach Class combine stylish superiority with sporty elegance. The exciting lines suggest power and dynamism, even before the vehicle moves off. The interior delivers on the promise of the exterior: spaciousness, attractiveness and comfort, married together to give an unsurpassed ambience of well-being. Courtesy exclusively of the S-Class.
The new Maybach Class simply cannot be overlooked. Its exterior design is a union of stylish poise with sporty elegance. The highly-charged feature line, the three-dimensional radiator grille and the innovative headlamp and bicolour tail lamps deploying cutting-edge LED technology are all characteristic of the high-tech nature of the S-Class and help to underline its position as one of the world's leading saloons.
Even when at a standstill, this saloon gives the impression that it is about to burst into a sprint at any second. The front stands out for the new radiator grille, which has four louvres, its striking-looking bonnet and the clear contours of the LED High Performance headlamps.
The interplay of convex and concave surfaces endows the vehicle with a sporty dynamism. The rear end provides a fitting conclusion that is both sporty and elegant with its horizontal lines, and whose width emphasises the impressive feel to the vehicle. The new three-strip LED bicolour tail lamps appear to stand proud of the boot lid, providing a unique look in the dark.
The essence of the atmosphere in the generously-sized interior is all about feeling good, relaxing and being able to concentrate on your work if required. With its harmoniously-matched materials and colour schemes, the exclusive-looking interior presents itself as one beautifully-moulded whole. The clear craftsmanship at work here and the noble-looking finishes catch and captivate the eye.
One of the first features to catch the eye is the wood trim running all round the interior. In conjunction with the modernistic design, it conveys a feeling of expanse and peace. High-quality controls made from aluminium, together with metallised switch surfaces in pearl-effect finishes, are a clear outward sign of Mercedes-Benz quality.
The warm, white interior lighting and optional ambient lighting with a choice of seven colour moods exude a feeling of unadulterated comfort. The lighting units are positioned stylishly and discreetly throughout the interior - illuminating the door handle recesses and the front passenger footwell, for example. The innovative display unit in the driver's area, also appropriately lit, which contains the instrument cluster and head unit, consists of two large 31.2 centimetre TFT displays.
